Les Marshall and Glennys Rose of Sunshine Coast, Queenslandran a strategic race on the 4th and 5th of August. Goondiwindi is one the most challenging off road track inQueensland.

After prologue the #105 Jimco Prolite was 24th out of 72 cars. At the finish of Saturdays first section the team would manage to get the car in a solid 19th outright at the finish.

Sunday would bring on the second section of three for the event in which competitors would have to battle heavy dust, woops and the famous melon holes. Les and Glennys would survive the brutal section and continue to climb the leader boards to 11th out right and second in class.

At the start of the third section the duo would only have a 17 second lead from the buggy behind them. Still with two 80 klm laps to complete they had to go harder and faster if they wanted to stand on top of the podium. With a few scary moments and speeds up to 200 kph the team came across the finish line 1st in class and 6th outright in the Australian Off Road Championship in their Jimco Prolite 3.5ltr buggy.

Les and Glennys are pleased to have finished so well up in the field. They battled against turbo charged buggies and V8 trophy trucks to come home in their 3.5lt v6 Nissan Jimco and were very satisfied after running one of the toughest off road races inQueensland.
